Shiloh Baptist Church Women’s Mission Union (WMU)

The WMU is the mission education, mission action and mission support organization of the Shiloh Baptist for women, young women, girls and preschool children. Its task is to teach missions, engage in mission action, support world missions through praying and giving and provide information regarding missionary work of the church and the Southern Baptist Convention.

The WMU plans a church-wide mission action project each month. Some recent projects have been Shiloh’s Homebound and Nursing Home Residents, Operation Christmas Child, Union County Community Shelter, Angel Tree Christmas Program, Operation Warm-Up, Liberian Christian Ministries International, and Hospice of Union County.

The WMU plans an annual Lottie Moon Christmas banquet in December to raise awareness of international missions and the need for global support through prayer, giving and going.

Shiloh Baptist Church Baptist Men

The Baptist Men is the church’s organization for mission education, mission action and mission support for men, young men and boys, It has the goal to teach missions, engage in mission action, support world missions through praying and giving, and providing support and information on the work of the church and the Southern Baptist Convention.

The Baptist Men of Shiloh regularly support mission action projects. They have provided   the motivation and manpower for the building of at least three Habitat Houses. The Handy Man’s Ministry is available for monthly projects and member needs. They have built ramps, painted houses, and helped with other construction needs.
